Backfiremoto.com

Welcome to the Backfire Moto Blog.

Backfire Moto is a Motorcycle Night in Seattle Washington dedicated to Cafe Racers, Vintage Motorbikes, Rat Bikes, Metric Bobbers, Scooters and Mopeds. It is every third Wednesday and yes we try to keep it year round. Check site to make sure!

Please feel free to email us if you want to post anything and we will review and repost it if it's something that would look good on our site. We dig cool motorbikes and all things related such as music, clothes and gear. If you have cool pictures or videos of our night, that would also be super awesome.

Thanks,

Happy New Year from Backfiremoto

Well another year has rolled by and all our bikes are just a slight bit more vintage. We at Backfiremoto just want to say thanks to all of the great people who show up at Backfiremoto and make it such a positive event. Backfire remains a simple night to hang out with friends, meet new friends, talk a bunch of shop, and see hundreds of amazing bikes. To some, it is still just an excuse to take a ride on a Wednesday night and have a beer. BFM has grown to take up a few more corners each year and has added a few great venues along the way. We plan to keep it real and simple despite the enormity of the thing. Backfire 30(the spring opener 2012) is right around the bend so let's get to work on those cafe racer projects and basket case ratbikes that are just waiting to crawl like greasy rusted zombies from your cold damp Northwest garages. Here at Backfire we will be busy doing the same thing. We hope to blog more regularly this year and post more pics too. The pic above is a nice Black Bomber that showed up at BF28 in September. Backfire 28 was a night to remember with close to 600 bikes showing up . As usual, there was eye candy for everyone. World class cafe racer projects , bobber projects , and plenty of gnarly ratracers and straight up vintage restoration . We will start to roll out the best photos in the days to come . Once again , Thanks to everyone who shows up and makes Backfiremoto fun , free and real . The Northwest cafe racer scene is way ahead of the curve....grinding it's pegs on the street and almost out of control. And that's how we like it! Happy New Year !

Motorcycle Dream Garages by Lee Klancher

Hey just picked up this book and I have to say it's pretty good. I was surprised to see that it had a nice size and weight to it. It was perfect as a garage table motorcycle book. What I really liked about it, is that it had plenty of pictures of garages that were simple with simple builds in it and not just multi million dollar garages. I was also pleasantly surprised that is had a lot of tasteful vintage British bikes and Cafe Racers. I'd say that this book is nice to look at and won't make your garage feel inadequate by any means.

Check it out if you get a chance.
